Suzanne M. Culhane is a senior fundraising consultant with more than 15 years of expertise in non-profit development. Working both independently and with the international consulting firms of Bob Carter Companies, Changing Our World and The Whelan Group, Inc., she has assisted more than 100 non-profit organizations in achieving their fundraising and programmatic goals. She has helped to raise more than $80M over the course of her career. She has held development staff positions with The Floating Hospital, The Momentum Project, Big Apple Circus and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and draws from these experiences in particular for assessment and analysis. With a current focus on assisting faith-based and social service organizations, Suzanne leads feasibility and planning studies, annual giving, major gifts and capital efforts, and designs and implements multi-year and annual development plans. Suzanne is regarded for her gifts with internal capacity building as well as donor cultivation and stewardship programs. She seeks to embody partnership and empowerment models in all client relationships.
Suzanne is a Postulant for the Priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of New York and is an active parishioner at St. John’s in the Village. She co-founded Episcopal Response to AIDS, a grant-making organization supporting parishes in New York, Long Island and New Jersey. She serves on the network of Episcopal Relief and Development and has been a story contributor for the Episcopal Digital Network. She also sits on the Advisory Council of Shakti Sharanam, a yoga and holistic learning center in Crestone, Colorado. Suzanne is a graduate of Siena College with a degree in Economics.
